Point Reyes Coastline

This long straight beach is part of the Point Reyes National Seashore, one of the most wonderful places in California. Within the park boundaries are several ranches, herds of elk and deer, and dairy cows. Wandering freely near the Point Reyes lighthouse, this cow seems quite well-fed. The grasses and scrubby vegetation certainly seem to agree with her. Perhaps her diet is the key to the great artisanal cheeses made in the Point Reyes region. Accordingly, this photo could be titled Point Reyes Cowstline.
