Grazing on the Coast
We hiked along the Tomales Point Trail in Tomales Bay State Park, just north of Point Reyes National Seashore. Out this far on the peninsula herds of elk roam freely, protected from their primary predator, automobile traffic. Grazing on this headland overlooking McLure’s Beach in the afternoon sun, one can’t help but think What a life!
