Plaza De España

In 1929, Seville, Spain was the home of a vast international exposition, the Ibero-American Exposition. With the crash of October, 1929 and the beginning of the Great Depression, the Exposition soon closed. The main vestige of the fair is the Plaza de España with its unbelievable display of ceramic tiles illustrating every city in Spain.

These beautiful blue and white ceramic balusters adorn a bridge arching across the Venetian-style canal in the middle of the plaza.
