In the center of the Albaicín neighborhood of Granada, high on the hill opposite the Alhambra Palace, is the small Plaza Larga. On Saturday mornings, the sleepy square, paved with the typical rounded river stones in decorative patterns, becomes the site of a bustling market. Surrounding the square are a few bars, restaurants, and cafés, as well as this typical papeleria (stationery store) where all the latest magazines and journals are available.
