Rotorua Bath House

The timber-framed Elizabethan-style Bath House in Rotorua opened to an eagerly-awaiting public on May 31, 1908. Its use as a spa, catering to tourists from around the world seeking cures from all sorts of ills with the therapeutic mud and sulfurous water, came to an end in the 1960s. The elegant building now houses the Rotorua Museum.
