We stopped in Vodjnan (Dignano in Italian) on a short tour of the region around Pula, Croatia. Walking around the old city, I discovered a piece of galvanized metal paneling on a wall which was starting to rust. The shape of the rusty patch reminded me of the scarlet ibis birds I saw in Trinidad many years ago. Had one been blown way off course during one of its migrations?
