Rain Forest Philodendrons
These philodendrons were hugging the trunk of a huge banyan tree in the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden. Air roots of the banyan, descending to the ground, form a nearly impenetrable curtain around the trunk, but allow the various varieties of big-leaved plants some support in the depths of the rain forest.
