The Thinker

Seville, in 1929, was the site of a great World's Fair, the Ibero-American Exposition. Unfortunately, the stock market crash and ensuing Great Depression cut short Seville's fair – it closed shortly after opening. But many of the sites and decorations from that time are still evident, such as this marvelous Mudejar-style ceramic tile billboard on Calle Tetuán, the main shopping street of old Seville. I like the passenger pointing to Rodin's The Thinker as if to say “Aren’t we smart? We have a Studebaker!”
