Mission Estate Vineyards

New Zealand’s oldest winery, established in 1851 by French Marist missionaries who had settled in Napier, is still producing some of the country’s finest wines. Originally planted to produce sacrificial wine, the brothers soon expanded and began selling their wine to the public, and a national industry was born. Stretching out across the fields below their beautifully restored and maintained estate mansion, the neat rows of vines blend into their environment in perfect harmony, bathed in the nearly perfect wine-growing climate.
