Rialto Sunset

Standing on the Rialto Bridge on our first evening in Venice, and not having a tripod, I took a risk resting my camera against the bridge’s balustrade while I made the three rapid exposures needed to make this HDR (high dynamic range) image of a brilliant sunset over the Grand Canal. Then it was off to find a restaurant for dinner, well off the beaten track.
