Turtle Pond Dreamline

This is one of the rare examples in my work of a digital manipulation: here an extremely narrow vertical line (only 1 pixel wide) of a completely unrelated image has been multiplied horizontally, creating these stripes of color. The original image was taken at the Massachusetts Audubon Society’s Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary on Martha’s Vineyard and had these colors, but not this form. Seeing an image appear out of almost nothing was quite startling.
