All along Boston Avenue in the Hillside neighborhood of Medford, Massachusetts, there are dozens of Bradford pear trees. For a few weeks in the spring their exuberant white blossoms make the street into a virtual fairyland. And in the fall, the leaves turn later than most other trees so that by mid to late November, while all the other trees have lost their leaves, the Bradford Pears still have glorious color. Each leaf is just a little jewel!
