At the end of Lake Anne, one of the several lakes created for the town of Reston, Virginia, is the Lake Anne Village Center, a vibrant micro town with cafés, shops, art studios, public spaces, and a terrific farmers’ market on Saturdays. Boaters on the lake can tie up at the docks, reflected here in the gently rippled waters.

The moirai, in Greek mythology, were the three goddesses who controlled the fates and destinies of all men. I see these three pillars, dissolving in ascendency, as the unknown futures of our lives, intertwined like threads in a constantly unraveling fabric.
