Long Pond Sentinels

The nature preserve of the Middlesex Fells, spanning parts of the Massachusetts towns of Medford, Winchester, Stoneham, Melrose, and Malden, is an oasis surrounded by urban and suburban density. Deep in the woods, Long Pond is a favorite destination for dog walkers and hikers. The still waters create a tranquil location for introspection and reflection. These trees along the far bank stand guard, protecting all who come to the pond.
