Paria View

Early October in Bryce Canyon National Park can bring swift changes in the weather. One day was crystal clear and blazingly hot, while the next day dawned with rain, fog, and snow at the higher elevations, around 9000 feet. One of the scenic overlooks, Paria View, on a clear day looks out over the edge of descending hoodoos to a distant vista beyond of the Paria River heading southeast to the Colorado River in Arizona. But on this day, all background was lost, shrouded in fog and light snow.
