Echo Canyon Zion

We climbed up the long trail from the floor of Zion toward Observation Point on the plateau at the top of the valley. Having climbed steadily upward for about an hour, we entered Echo Canyon, a narrow slot canyon with sheer walls over 1000 feet high. The cool refreshing air deep in the canyon was a welcome respite from the blistering heat out on the more exposed sections of the trail.
