Point Imperial Rainbow

After a hike down into the Grand Canyon, we headed for the overlook at Point Imperial. Cliff after cliff fading into the distance to the southeast, the tranquility was interrupted only by a sudden rainstorm, the late afternoon sun creating a rainbow. It was fall already up here on the North Rim, the leaves were turning, and a short while after this picture was taken, we were in a snow squall.
