Guggenheim Grille

The Grand Canal in Venice is lined with the houses of the grand. The American heiress, Peggy Guggenheim, established her residence here in 1949 and amassed a stunning contemporary art collection. Now a museum of sterling quality, not all of the art on view is hanging on the walls — some of it is really out the window.
