When the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art (now closed, alas!) had its studios and classrooms in a former convent at the top of the hill above the village of Pont-Aven in Brittany, the print-making studio had one of its windows directly on the steep-stepped path that connected the village with the school. Sunlight shining through the frosted glass created this impressionistic image of the hydrangeas on the outside.
