Cathedral Wash

We followed a trail down Cathedral Wash toward the banks of the Colorado River a few miles downstream from Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. It is one of the last remaining access points to the river before the walls of the Grand Canyon begin closing in around it. While we did not make it all the way down to the river’s edge due to some really deep standing water in a very steep-sided section of the Wash, the part we did explore was starkly beautiful.
